Selena is a brave 6-year-old who has faced more than most. Just before her third birthday, she was diagnosed with leukemia and spent over two years in chemotherapy. The treatment saved her life but left lasting effects. High-dose steroids damaged her bones, and she lost the ability to walk for more than a year. After an incredible journey of relearning to walk, Selena is recovering, but she still struggles with fear and confidence. We’re building her a safe, magical backyard where she can play, grow stronger, and simply be a kid again.

Matilda is a resilient and creative 13-year-old who has just returned home after 15 months in hospital, fighting a rare and aggressive cancer. She endured spinal surgery, chemotherapy, lung surgery, radiation, and had to relearn how to walk. During isolation on her 13th birthday, a nurse gifted her a paint by numbers kit and a love for art was born. Now immunocompromised and often unable to attend school or big gatherings, art has become her outlet. We’re building Matilda a dedicated art studio, a safe space where she can create, dream and inspire. Help us make this creative sanctuary a reality.

Palmer, a determined young boy, lives with dyskinetic cerebral palsy caused by a brain injury at birth. He faces significant challenges, including uncoordinated movements, chronic pain, and difficulties with eating, requiring a PEG feeding tube for nutrition. Despite countless therapies, surgeries, and appointments at Perth Children’s Hospital, Palmer’s love for life shines through. One of Palmer’s greatest passions is gardening with his dad. However, as he grows, accessing the garden has become harder. The Build Now Foundation is creating a custom accessible garden where Palmer can care for his plants directly from his wheelchair or walking frame. This space will not only nurture his love for gardening but also support his therapy and independence. Together, we can help Palmer thrive by building a garden where he can grow, dream, and share his incredible spirit with others.

Tilly is a creative 12-year-old with an extremely rare inoperable brain tumour, one of only about 100 cases worldwide. Between seizures and the side effects of treatment, she spends most of her time at home, missing school and friends. But she never stops smiling, sharing fun facts, or creating ocean-themed crafts and jewellery. We’re working to build Tilly a special creative and study space in her home, somewhere she can feel inspired, organised, and comfortable every day. Help us make this space a reality for Tilly.

Noah is a courageous and cheeky 12-year-old who has just completed treatment for Ewing sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. After enduring 31 rounds of radiation and 14 rounds of chemotherapy, he found relief from pain and stress in one place, the bath. It became his sanctuary, helping with burns, headaches, and giving him space to decompress. But his current bathroom is no longer safe or usable. We're building Noah a purpose-built bathroom that restores his comfort, safety, and independence. Help us create the healing space he deserves.

Ari is a bright and charismatic 9-year-old with a rare form of congenital muscular dystrophy (LMNA gene mutation), a degenerative muscle wasting condition that affects fewer than 50 people worldwide. Despite never having walked, he navigates life with energy and determination, zooming around in his electric wheelchair and keeping up with his friends through online gaming. As he continues to grow, daily tasks like showering have become increasingly challenging and unsafe for both him and his family. We’re on a mission to modify Ari’s bathroom to ensure he has a safer, more accessible space, giving him the dignity, independence, and comfort he deserves. Join us in making this possible.

This Christmas season, the Build Now Foundation successfully took on the challenge of building seven themed cubbies in just seven hours for children supported by a Telethon beneficiary. Thanks to the generosity of donors and the hard work of volunteers, we delivered the cubbies just in time to bring joy to these kids and their families.

Arlo, a cheeky and funny 5-year-old, was recently diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer. His treatment has been relentless, including intensive chemotherapy and daily radiation sessions that require anaesthesia, yet he’s maintained his humour and resilience. After a traumatic home invasion, Arlo’s family moved into a new home with hopes of creating a safe, comforting space, promising him a LEGO themed room. The Build Now Foundation is committed to making this dream a reality by transforming his room into a joyful, LEGO inspired haven where Arlo can find solace and happiness. Join us in giving Arlo a place of comfort and play during his courageous journey.

Georgia, a child with a rare genetic condition, faces multiple challenges including intellectual disability, autism, ADHD, epilepsy, and mobility issues. Her condition requires frequent hospital visits, and her lack of danger awareness makes outdoor play unsafe. The Build Now Foundation is dedicated to creating a safe backyard for Georgia by removing a hazardous pool and revitalising her outdoor space. This transformation will provide her with a secure area to enjoy outdoor activities while giving her family peace of mind. In June 2024, Riley was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and began immediate treatment at Perth Children's Hospital. The family had to leave their Dunsborough home, dog, and daughter, Sadie, with Paul's parents. They face significant financial challenges over the next 12-18 months, with Paul's business on hold and high costs for medical care, travel, and living expenses. Community support is crucial for easing their financial burden and helping them focus on Riley's recovery.
