Nate's Pool

Nate is a fun-loving, cheeky 8-year-old boy with a rare genetic condition called Apert Syndrome, a disorder that causes the bones in his skull, fingers, toes, elbows, and shoulders to fuse together before birth.

Since the moment he arrived in the world, Nate has faced challenges far beyond his years. He has already undergone more than twelve surgeries, including three major skull operations, and he spends countless hours at Perth Children’s Hospital for ongoing treatment and specialist appointments.

Yet when you meet Nate, you'll see that nothing slows him down. Despite the physical limitations he lives with daily, he approaches life with courage, curiosity, and an infectious determination. He's bright, energetic, and absolutely adores being with his two older brothers, always finding creative ways to join their adventures and keep up with their fun.

For Nate, the family swimming pool is one of the few places where he feels completely free. The water supports his body, gives him independence, and lets him move, play, and laugh without restriction. It's where he connects deeply with his brothers and where he experiences pure joy.

Having easier, safer access to the pool would transform Nate’s everyday life. It would give him the space to explore, grow, and enjoy the simple moments every child deserves.

Your support will help Nate live his best life.
