Archie's Gaming Room
Archie's Gaming Room
Archie is a courageous young boy whose life changed dramatically after being diagnosed with a rare brain tumour. Following major surgery, only part of the tumour could be removed, and Archie was left with Posterior Fossa Syndrome, a condition that severely affected his ability to speak, move, and walk independently.
Before his diagnosis, Archie was an active, sporty 11-year-old who loved being on the move. After surgery, he spent months in hospital and faced a long, exhausting road of rehabilitation, specialist appointments, scans, and ongoing treatment. Although he has slowly regained some strength and speech, he continues to live with significant physical limitations that affect his everyday life.
One of the biggest challenges for Archie has been the loss of independence and normal childhood outlets. For nearly ten months after surgery, he was unable to do one of the things he loves most, gaming. Gaming has since become more than just a hobby for Archie. it's a way for him to relax, connect with friends, feel capable, and escape the constant cycle of hospitals and therapy.
A dedicated gaming room would transform Archie's daily life. It would give him independence, comfort, and a sense of normality, allowing him to be a kid again in a space designed just for him.
Your support can help give Archie joy, confidence, and a place to heal beyond hospital walls.
