Selena's Sanctuary
At just three years old, Selena was diagnosed with leukemia. She endured more than two years of chemotherapy, and while the treatment saved her life, it came at a heavy cost. High-dose steroids weakened her bones so severely that she lost the ability to walk for over a year.
With courage and determination, Selena relearned how to walk. Now six, she is recovering well, but her journey has left lasting fears. She worries about falling, and her confidence in public places has been shaken. Parks and playgrounds, once full of joy, now feel overwhelming as she fears being judged or stared at.
Thanks to the Build Now Foundation, Selena's backyard is being transformed into a safe and magical garden. More than just a play area, it will be a sanctuary where she can rebuild her confidence, grow stronger, and embrace the simple joy of being a child.
